Introduction

The world population is ageing rapidly. The number of people aged 60 or older is projected to reach 2.1 billion in 2050, and it will be the first time in human history that elderlies will outnumber children. This demographic shift leads to the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases and heavier burden on the healthcare system. Realizing the huge economic and societal impacts, policymakers are constantly searching for cost-effective solutions for chronic care that can enhance disease management, improve quality of life, and reduce healthcare costs. Smart health refers to the use of wearable devices, Internet of Things (IoT), mobile communication, big data, and analytics to provide healthcare services anytime anywhere. It is a crucial building block of smart city development. Considering the rapid developments, it is of utmost importance to keep abreast of the latest smart health technologies and applications. The proposed event, International Conference on Smart Health Technology (ICSHT-2022), will focus on exchanging knowledge, state-of-the-arts technologies, and development experience in smart health technologies among researchers around the world. The conference will offer an interdisciplinary platform to discuss opportunities, challenges, and emerging directions that contribute to building a sustainable future empowered by smart health

Workshop on Fitness Monitoring and Analysis using Wearable Device

Non-intrusive and continuous monitoring of biosignal using wearable device provides crucial information for the analysis of fitness level of human beings. The workshop will begin with the survey of the latest development of wearable devices and applications. Particularly, attention is drawn into the discussion of fitness monitoring and analysis. A demonstration session will provide not only the visualization (trends) and basic statistics of fitness data but also in-depth analysis via machine learning algorithm. Besides, tips for measuring good quality of data will be shared.
